Books I Love...Let's Talk About Books Linky

I have decided to link up with Deanna Jump for her Let's Talk About Books Linky. I love getting to read others peoples blogs and getting to find out new book ideas and how they use them.

One of my favorite books of all time is "A Bad Case of Stripes", the book talks about a young girl who is getting ready for school when she discovers something strange has happened. She realizes she has developed a bad case of stripes. The book follows her journey of battling with the stripes and how her parents try to get rid of them. At the end she realizes it's alright to just be herself.



In my classroom, we draw a picture of ourselves with different kinds of stripes. The stripes/patterns represent things that make use unique. Then we write about the things that make use so unique. I love getting to see the students creating their pictures and writing. Sadly I don't have any pictures of their amazing work. I must remember to take a picture next time.
