Introducing Kenya/Assessment Training

Tuesday and Wednesday I spent in an assessment training. The training provided lots of insight and guidance into how to plan quality assessments for students. I left the training with a very sore brain and the feeling of being a bit overwhelmed. Now all I have to do is take what I learned and apply it to my teaching. I am pretty sure this is easier said than done but I shall try best.

Today I headed out to my classroom in hopes of being able to get into it and begin working on making it my own. This past year I taught second grade, which was a very rewarding and fun experience. We had some moves happen in our building and this year I am getting the opportunity to teach Kindergarten. I am very excited and nervous all at the same time. By teaching a new grade that means a whole new classroom, which normally wouldn't be that bad except for that fact that I have only a few days to get it ready for the students due to workshops and a visit back home.  I know it will all come together with hard work and help.
